A Journey Of Strength And Support

Gemma received the life-altering diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). As she and her family began to navigate the difficult road ahead, Gemma heard about the work of The Robert Sinclair Davidson Foundation and reached out for support.

One of her immediate concerns was the need to make essential adaptations to her home—particularly the bathroom—to help maintain her independence and dignity as her condition progressed. Understanding how crucial these changes were, we arranged for one of our dedicated volunteers to visit Gemma and assess her needs. Shortly after, we were able to approve and provide the funding required to carry out the necessary modifications.

What began as a request for help blossomed into a lasting partnership. Deeply moved by the support they received, Gemma and her family chose to give back. Over the years, they have devoted their own time and energy to fundraising for the Foundation, becoming passionate advocates for others living with MND. Their efforts have helped raise vital awareness and funds, enabling us to reach more families in need.

Gemma’s story is one of courage, community, and the power of compassion—and we are proud to have walked alongside her on this journey.
